Education and Training

I graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Biological Basis of Behavior.  I received both my M.A. and my Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Temple University in Philadelphia. I completed an APA-accredited internship at the VA West Los Angeles Healthcare Center where I received training in outpatient mental health (including trauma, anxiety disorders, and depression), substance abuse, health psychology, and neuropsychological assessment. I completed a post-doctoral residency in trauma, also at the VA West Los Angeles Healthcare Center. There, I received intensive training in assessing and treating Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, as well as other trauma-related disorders, and insomnia. My varied clinical experiences include working in private practice, community mental health clinics, inpatient psychiatric units, women’s clinics, and hospital settings.
